Cupcake Truck Driver for events

Description: You are the face of our company. From working huge festivals and fairs around california in our truck to working local community events. As a part of our event team you will also be helping out in the store serving customers and learning more about the product for better service in our truck. Every customer we come in contact with is equally important from our private celebrity clients to our local neighborhood friend. 0We take pride in creating sweet happiness in everyone's lives near and far and that starts with you!

A clean driving record is required to ensure our products made with love arrive intact. If you love the open road, have an eye for detail and a sweet tooth, you will be perfect as a Dreamy Creations Driver. Meticulous pickups and deliveries need to be triple checked before you resume cruising down the highway... no cupcake left behind. We require you to understand how to use GPS and have the ability to download APPS on your smartphone device as needed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build relationships with events, event coordinators and local businesses.

• Always be friendly, accommodating and direct.

• Transport finished goods and raw materials / finished goods over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail, distribution centers, public stops & private events.

• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance tests.

• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules on time with the product intact, safely.

• Responsible for scheduling meal breaks around event times / abiding by laws,responsible for one’s self in clocking in & out.

• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations,parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.

• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions while on public streets & events in a timely & safe manner

• Collect and verify delivery instructions of events / clients, understand events & instructions before driving .

• Report defects, accidents or violations

• Fold boxes & organize on tray for easy take out when returning to shop

• Always be sales focused & driven, hitting sales goals will be noted for reviews.

• Wipe down (with windex & rag): service window, counters, shelves, driver section, outside/inside windows, dirty spots on truck, sticky drinks, trash cans, inside freezer, inside fridge, walls

• Organize ice creams on freezer shelves by flavor & date (oldest in front)

• Condense cupcakes on trays, Restock drinks

• Always check in with the kitchen manager and get side work before leaving for each shift / items will be left on the truck table for pick up.

• Update 'Restock List, Refill napkins, forks, spoons

• Wipe down (with windex & rag) Menu sign & sandwich board signs

• Willingness to perform assigned job duties as given, - Indoor events, private events,in store.

• Quality control - Ability to look at product when loading and ready to serve to make sure product meets company standards before serving - fix if possible

• Drives all vehicles from our big truck to the small truck from various locations spreading happiness & brand awareness. Also provides support to our in house HQ as needed as Cupcake Associate.

• Event staff assist in the logistical management of corporate and public events.

• Their primary responsibilities include preparing venues and setting up for events, and operating cash registers. Mess the service specification for the event or festival in question by team-leading and effectively oversee the running of the contract and site. Managing shift changes and handovers to the other team members and dealing with any staff issues in a professional and objective manner.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a good driver, clean record no accidents

• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, Smart phones,Routes)

• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly

• Extensive knowledge of sales & marketing, great people skills

• No recent moving or driving violations

• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather, conditions etc)

• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations

• Great communication skills - with customers & off site management

Personal Requirements

• Must have strong work ethic and reliability

• Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work effectively within a team

• Proficiency with Driving, POS systems, and customer oriented

• Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed, get in and out of a large truck , able to squat and stand for long periods of time.

• Continuous use of hands and arms

• Positive attitude with all customers, and staff even through tough situations.

• Continuous bending, reaching and twisting

• Outgoing personality / willing to do assigned tasks reach out to consumers.

• Hat must be worn or hair must be neatly kept, clean and styled.

• Uniform shirt - Approved color & style

• Black pants / blue pants -Approved color & Black non slip shoes

• Ability to drive for hours at a time

• Apron - Provided clean & orderly

• You present yourself in a neat, clean, professional manner (clean uniform each shift, clean well-trimmed nails, good personal hygiene, no gum chewing while on duty, etc.)
