Position: Print Production Operator IV - 3rd shift

Job Type: Full Time – Regular

Hours per week: 40

Pay rate: 17.00 (Final pay will be decided by the hiring manager)

Shift Timings: 11 pm - 7: 30 am

Location: 4710 E. Elwood St, suite 3 , Phoenix, AZ, 85040

Job Summary: As a Print Production Operator IV, you will be a senior member of the print production team, responsible for overseeing and executing complex printing tasks. This role involves operating and maintaining advanced printing equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the high-quality output of printed materials. The Print Production Operator IV also plays a key role in coordinating and managing print production projects.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Follow all Exela AZ - DES facility policies, including health & safety, building security, data security, and a harassment-free work environment.
  • Operational Expertise: Operate and maintain advanced printing machinery, including digital printers, offset printers, large-format printers, or specialized printing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and output quality.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate a deep understanding of printing processes, including prepress operations, color management, imposition, finishing, and quality control measures.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure print jobs meet quality standards by conducting regular checks for color accuracy, print specifications adherence, and overall output quality.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform routine maintenance tasks, and coordinate with technical support for complex machinery repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Project Management: Manage print production schedules, prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
  • Material Handling: Handle printing materials such as paper, inks, and other consumables, ensuring proper storage, inventory management, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with team members, supervisors, clients, and other stakeholders to understand job requirements, provide updates on job progress, and address concerns or requirements.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations related to printing equipment operation, chemical handling, and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Leadership and Training: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior operators or new team members, sharing expertise in print production processes and equipment operation.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with variable data printing and variable imaging.
  • Familiarity with industry-leading printing software and tools.
  • Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices in print production.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 18 Years of Age or Older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Extensive experience as a Print Production Operator, particularly with advanced printing technologies.
  • Proficiency in operating digital and offset printing equipment.
  • Strong understanding of color management and print production processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Pay Disclosure:

"The pay range for this position starts at $17.00; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.”
