Trident seeks an enthusiastic and highly capable DevOps Engineer to join our growing organization. This role will aid the overall LightRidge team with improving and standardizing Pipeline and Cloud environments. As a Software DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the software development lifecycle for embedded systems and test applications, ensuring seamless integration, deployment, and monitoring of software across various embedded platforms and host computers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Support Trident SES DevOps work under the guidance of LightRidge DevOps leadership.

• Develop and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines for embedded software projects.

• Support DevOps tools and associated CI/CD pipelines with configurations to suit specific programs.

• Maintain synergy with Security and IT for compliance alignment.

• Collaborate with the Embedded Software and Test Software development teams to integrate new DevOps practices into the software development process.

• Manage and maintain embedded software development environments, including version control systems, continuous integration tool chains, and artifact repositories.

• Support engagements related to assessing, refactoring, and identifying opportunities for existing applications to take advantage of modern application architectures (e.g. containers) and environments (e.g. AWS).

• Implement and manage containerization and orchestration solutions (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for embedded and test software deployment.

• Automate application deployment into varied and complex environments using virtual machines, container technologies, Kubernetes, Cloud environments, and bare metal servers.

• Implement and maintain continuous monitoring and logging solutions for embedded software and test applications. Monitor and troubleshoot software deployments, ensuring system stability and performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize software performance, reliability, and security.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in DevOps and software development.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Years of Experience:

• 1+ years of experience developing software in C, C++, C#, or Python

• 1+ years of experience developing and installing software for Windows or Linux platforms

• 1+ years of experience navigating Cloud services, such as AWS and Azure

• 1+ years of experience developing, debugging, and installing software for embedded platforms

Required Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities

• BS in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering

• Experience with software development processes and standards

• Experience with multiple programming/scripting languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, bash, PowerShell

• Experience with version control systems/product configuration management tools such as Git or Perforce.

• Experience supporting DevOps tool chain and pipeline environments such as GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Coverity, SonarQube, and Artifactory.

• Experience using task management applications such as Jira

• Experience using collaborative documentation tools such as Confluence and Sharepoint

• Proven communication/interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and ability to be a strong team player in a cross-functional environment

• Ability to be granted a security clearance

Desired Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities:

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.

• Certification in relevant DevOps or embedded software technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Embedded Software Engineer Certification).
