Job Description

AMF BakeTech is looking for a motivated and self-driven Project Staging Associate. Project Stagers are responsible for compiling sub-assemblies, parts, and materials in preparation for an equipment shipment. Project Stagers interface with the operations, planning, and manufacturing teams to schedule, pack, and organize all of the components which are utilized to construct BakeTech machines.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to):
  • Manage the project staging book which consists of all work orders and B.O.M.'s for a particular project or serial number.
  • Skid larger items and organize into staging lanes. Organize lanes to optimize trailer or container loading.
  • Pick and pack smaller items into job boxes.
  • Assist installation technicians and project managers with issues they have in the field (missing items, warranty, etc.).
  • Communicate with purchasing & receiving when inventory adjustments are required or when items needed for a project are not on time.
  • Pick, pack, and complete warranty events and large parts orders.
  • Operation of forklift, saws, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Provide weights and dimensions to the shipping department once project is completed and RTS. Additionally, create the packing list, BOL, Commercial Invoice, and Installer notes.
  • Load and safely secure project shipments on containers or trailers.
  • Identify and suggest productivity and/or quality improvements to Supervisors and/or Engineers
  • Other duties as assigned.

What Do You Need to Succeed (Included, but not limited to):
  • Relevant mechanical assembly or Trade School experience
  • Ability to comprehend and execute verbal, written and drawn instructions (incl. 2D and 3D engineering drawings and/or schematics).
  • A solid mechanical aptitude which enables the use of sound judgment in the proper use of fasteners and assembly steps
  • Ability to assess a problematic situation, diagnose a potential issue, and drive toward a solution.
  • Comfortable working with a wide variety of hand and power-tools, and the understanding of which tools are most appropriate for a given task.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to safely operate a fork truck
Working Conditions:
  • Typical manufacturing facility conditions (Indoors ~95% / Outdoors ~5%)
  • Facility is heated in winter, but not air conditioned in summer
  • Employee must be able to stand on concrete floors for a minimum of eight hours. Kneeling, squatting, bending over and standing for long periods of time may be required to perform assigned
  • Can occasionally be loud, especially in local areas where grinding or machine testing is taking Ear plugs are provided for work performed where noise is a factor.
  • Employee must be able to work with both live wire (up to 575V) and dead wire Live wire conditions generally make up less than 20% of normal working environment.

  • Experience with ERP software (D365 preferred).
  • Safety glasses and steel-toed safety shoes are
