Job Summary

The (Senior) Project Manager supports the implementation and setup of IQGeo's Web and Mobile Mapping Software efforts for domestic and, occasionally, international enterprise customers. This role is about translating your passion for project management, incorporating your love for telecommunications, technology and problem-solving and your desire to grow a business altogether all while utilizing Agile and SCRUM methodologies. Each day will be different, but exhilarating. The PMO sits within IQGeo's Global Customer Services Organization while our flexible scheduling and outstanding benefits support success in a highly creative, innovative, and energetic company.

As an integral part of the IQGeo geospatial project management team, the successful candidate will be the key leader on the project, support the program's SCRUM team as needed and be responsible for implementing the IQGeo solution to our customers in the markets. The candidate is expected to work independently, but also as a team member, and will have a working knowledge of software implementation methodologies. Handling multiple account objectives, managing to budget/profitability, meeting deliverable milestones and professionally managing escalations and expectations are paramount for the role.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project pricing, scope, schedule, and budget constraints within an agreed project plan.
  • Participate in pre-project scoping and pricing conversations with sales and account teams as requested.
  • Managing overall budget(s) and profitability objectives for the project.
  • Creation and execution of change orders for assigned projects, including management to obtain technical estimates.
  • Creating, administering and executing project plans, from proposal creation and contract definition through project completion and acceptance.
  • Being consultative to clients based on current operational processes and their fit with IQGeo products.
  • Administrative lead on all issues related to the management and execution of the project.
  • Manage project resources, margins, resource plans and schedules, deliverables and timelines
  • Manage expectations, conflict resolution and escalations.
  • Risk, Issue management, including mitigation and path to resolution.
  • Manages milestone approval for project gates.
  • Develop, strong, trusted-advisor relationships within the customers project team.
  • Create and deliver customer communication plans, including status reporting, facilitation of status meetings.
  • Understanding of software, system, and platform technologies.
  • Must coordinate with Technical Implementation department, Support department and Training department(s), as appropriate, to deliver the right activities at the right time.
  • Work with Customer Success Managers as required to ensure customer satisfaction and success.
  • Provide status to Snr. Leadership as requested.
  • Ability to occasionally travel (less than 20%)
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities

Essential
  • Strong technical, project management experience and consultative background within cloud/SaaS/Enterprise software solutions.
  • Excellent understanding of web/mobile, software development.
  • Excellent domain knowledge of the telecommunications business, in particular network planning, construction, and operations/maintenance programs.
  • Solid risk management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Project and/or team management experience as candidate will be responsible for project delivery and need to produce monthly status and financial reports.
  • US citizenship or permanent residency required.
  • Experience with enterprise SDLC (software deployment lifecycle).

Desirable
  • Experience with Geospatial Information Systems or web mapping.
  • Excellent experience, preferably certifications, with Agile and SCRUM

Education and Experience
  • PMP Certification, or currently enrolled
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of technology and industry experience.


Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
