Job Description

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to became a part of our team! You will assist in the preparation of medications under the direction of a pharmacist.

Responsibilities:

Prepare medication and other healthcare products for patients
Measure dosage of medications, according to prescription orders
Process prescriptions using computer software
Label and record dosage information
Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies

Qualifications:

Previous experience in pharmacy or other related fields
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

High School diploma or equivalent required
A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in customer service, patient referrals, and/or insurance verification
Bilingual (English/Spanish or Creole) preferred

Free medication is available for patients through pharmaceutical company patient assistance programs for those who qualify. Free transportation and translation services are also available for those who need them. In addition, we offer assistance with case management such as enrollment in health insurance from the Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”), enrollment in Medicare, and Healthy Start prenatal services.
