Engineering Intern

Locations: Remote / Dripping Springs, TX (Austin, TX area)
Description:
Intern will be utilized to support engineering activities like an administrative assistant but will be provided opportunities to complete more complex engineering tasks as required and as their capability allows. This position is usually part time but may be full time between semesters. This position may be used for early evaluation of an inexperienced potential candidate for a permanent position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create and review engineering documents
- Provide engineering support through software development
- Software tool troubleshooting
- Check CAD drawings
- Data entry
- Assist with administrative tasks for multiple projects
- Other responsibilities will be assigned at the discretion of the supervisor and lead
Preferred Qualifications:
- Enrollment in BS or MS degree program
- Intermediate to advanced user capability with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
- Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong desire to learn about avionics integration and aviation
- Must be legally able to work in USA and supply required supporting documentation
