Job Title: Transmission Line Project Engineer
Location: Pomona, CA (Hybrid Remote/On-site)
Compensation: $85,000-$150,500 depending on experience.
Overview: We are seeking a talented Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering with a focus on transmission line design and construction. This role requires expertise in managing transmission line projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and oversee transmission line projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Design and Engineering: Develop transmission line designs, specifications, and calculations, ensuring adherence to technical standards, reliability, and efficiency.
- Procurement and Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure materials, equipment, and services required for transmission line projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Construction Oversight: Collaborate with construction teams to ensure accurate installation, testing, and commissioning of transmission line components and systems.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct inspections, quality checks, and compliance reviews to ensure project compliance with specifications, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with transmission line projects and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
- Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure project alignment with goals and objectives.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records throughout the project lifecycle, including progress reports, change orders, and as-built documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on transmission line design and construction.
- Proven experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
- Strong technical skills in transmission line design, equipment selection, and testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in engineering software/tools such as PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to transmission line design and construction (e.g., NESC, IEEE).
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
- Ability to travel to project sites and work in a hybrid remote/on-site work environment.
