About the opportunity: 

NetDocuments is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who has knowledge and experience building distributed systems and microservices. The ideal candidate will have work with data at scale in production environments. This position will report to the Senior Engineering Manager for Platform Evolution.  

What your contributions will be:

Collaborate with a team of highly experienced Software Engineers
Provide detailed acceptance criteria based on product requirements and high level architecture designs
Design and implement C# microservices and process flows
Create unit tests and work with QA on contract, integration and functional testing to meet quality and/or performance standards
Test services in a variety of environments
Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues
Stay on the leading edge of development methodologies and technologies
Partner with Product and Design counterparts
Work side-by-side with key Principal and Lead Engineers to design and build scalable solutions
Other duties as assigned

What you will need for success:

5+ years of software engineering experience
Experience with multiple languages C# (.NET) preferred or Java
Deep understanding of object oriented principles and patterns
Experience with microservices, distributed systems and event driven architecture
Experience with Sql and NoSql databases
Experience using REST
Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to add transparency to the health of running applications through logging and telemetry for proactively triaging system issues and hardening the performance of applications

Priority consideration for applicants who have experience with:

AWS services specifically DynamoDB, S3, SQS, MSK(managed Kafka), Fargate, EKS(elastic kubernetes)
Hexagonal architecture patterns
MediatR pattern
Experience in the Legal Industry
