Work from Home and once per month in office.

Satcom Resources is a leading provider of satellite communications products, systems, and solutions, serving commercial, government, and military customers worldwide. As a value-added supplier and stocking distributor of satellite ground station equipment, we maintain an extensive inventory and offer full-service shipping and logistics solutions.

We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our team and support various financial functions within the organization. The Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in preparing financial statements, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.

Responsibilities:

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment posting, and collections.
• Assist in maintaining general ledger accounts and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support decision-making and financial planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and provide analysis for business initiatives.
• Assist in the coordination of annual audits and tax filings, including the preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.
• Help ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance department.
• Assist in managing cash flow by monitoring liquidity, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing working capital.
• Occasionally assist team members with ad-hoc tasks outside of typical accounting duties to support overall departmental objectives and foster a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

• Accounting Experience with Oracle NetSuite is highly desired.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
