Casting Technician - 092

We are partnered with a healthcare manufacturer hiring for a Casting Technician in Sarasota! The ideal candidate will be responsible for casting silicone and polyurethane materials to produce high-quality components, as well as possessing the ability to apply silicone painting techniques for finishing products. Attention to detail, precision, and a strong understanding of materials and techniques are essential for success in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Reads, interprets, and works from production manufacturing/assembly instructions, assembly drawings, part lists, and verbal instructions.
• Prepare molds and casting materials for silicone and polyurethane production.
• Measure and mix silicone and polyurethane materials according to specifications.
• Pour and cast silicone and polyurethane components into molds with precision and accuracy.
• Monitor curing processes to ensure proper material properties and quality.
• Trim, clean, and finish casted components to meet required specifications.
• Conduct quality inspections to identify defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Prepare surfaces and apply silicone painting techniques to finished components as required.
• Use appropriate tools and equipment for painting, such as airbrushes and brushes, to achieve desired finishes.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize production processes.
• Keep accurate records of materials usage, production output, and quality control data.

Qualification Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in casting or painting is a plus.
• Basic reading skills.  Must be able to follow directions.
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Proven experience in silicone and polyurethane casting techniques.
• Demonstrated proficiency in silicone painting and finishing techniques.
• Understanding of materials properties and curing processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM

Pay Rate: $22-$24/hour
