Sr Workday Project Manager

Octagon Talent Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Manager who is passionate about working with both internal clients and external vendors to ensure that project deliverables are completed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for collaboration, working closely with other departments to ensure all aspects of the project align seamlessly. With a confident and thoughtful approach, they will identify and request the necessary resources to meet project requirements, ensuring success within scope and budget.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Excited to bring together our talented internal team and outstanding third-party vendors for seamless execution of Workday projects.
• Our top priority is ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and with a clear scope.
• Collaborate with all stakeholders to define project objectives and scope.
• Guarantee technical feasibility.
• Allocate resources effectively.
• Develop a comprehensive project plan to track progress and manage changes
• Measure performance.
• Ensure timely reporting and escalation to management, if necessary.
• Value relationships with stakeholders and third-party vendors to minimize potential risks using to risk management expertise.
• Our team will maintain comprehensive project documentation; delegate tasks based on individual strengths and experience levels.
• Analyze short and long-term goal completion.
• We will share comprehensive project plans with leadership and staff members and attend conferences and training to maintain our proficiency.
• Our team will also develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs.
• We will leverage our expertise in multiple project management methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative Waterfall, Scrum, etc.) to achieve excellence in our projects.
• Committed to delivering outstanding results and exceeding expectations in all our endeavors.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• A Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience with Workday, including involvement from the early implementation stages.
• Excellent communication skills, both for client-facing situations and internal discussions, including strong written and verbal abilities.
• High attention to detail and the capacity to multitask effectively.
• PMP Certification is considered an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficient in risk management practices.
• Exceptional negotiation skills with a focus on cost management.
• Quick learner, able to absorb new ideas and concepts swiftly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to present ideas in a manner that is both business-friendly and clear.
