Technical Writer/Product Page Editor

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer/Product Page Editor. The ideal candidate will have the ability to write, design, & create organized, concise, and technically-accurate installation instructions to guide the user to safely and properly install each product. The successful candidate will also have an eye for detail and an understanding of electro-mechanical concepts, as well as special requirements for web writing/editing.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Technical Writer on electrical installation.
• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matters.
• Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for electro-mechanical product.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with LED light technology highly preferred.
• Proficiency with electro-mechanical engineering.
• Proficiency with basic graphic design (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, etc.).
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred.
• Strong computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create detailed installation instructions for LED lighting products.
• Gather accurate and up-to-date product information from product development teams.
• Utilize the content management system (CMS) to create and maintain product web pages.
• Regularly update and maintain existing product web pages to reflect changes.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy of product information.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on installation instructions and product web pages.
• Stay updated on LED lighting technology, engineering, and technical writing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
