Electrical Estimator

Basic Job Functions

The Electrical Estimator provides electrical and instrumentation estimating services for I/E construction projects.  The Electrical Estimator provides support for planning, organizing, and evaluating construction projects per schedule, specifications, and budget.  Must be able to take initiative, set priorities, and efficiently produce detailed end results.

Electrical Estimator Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare bid proposals for industrial and oilfield construction projects
• Experience in pipeline midstream sector required
• Interface with clients throughout bid process and project completion
• Interpret customer RFQs for projects and E&C applications
• Control all request for proposals from companies
• Attend pre-bid meetings, bid walks, and job showings
• Figure project estimate and develop detailed project schedule
• Finalize and submit complete package proposal to company
• Handoff project budgets and schedule upon award
• Use current pricing agreements to develop unit price and T&M estimates
• Select components and materials for quotation and pursue supplier pricing and delivery times
• Submit estimates to companies
• Handoff project budgets and schedule upon award
• Conduct cost analysis through-out all phases of a project, up to and including completion
• Maintain and control distribution of all project documents and records

Electrical Estimator Qualifications

• 5 years or more of Electrical Estimator experience
• Enhanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office & Microsoft Project
• Experience in Pipeline Midstream Sector required
• Working knowledge of electrical installation, estimating techniques, and cost control
• Ability to effectively and regularly converse and comprehend in English
• Ability to perform detailed work and successfully meet deadlines
• Must have stable work history
