KP Aviation, an international supplier and procurer of aftermarket aviation components and assets, is searching for the next key member of our team! As a Project Manager (Engines) the role entails coordinating and managing pre-purchase inspections for engines, reviewing and developing engine shop work scopes, and overseeing light shop visit events. Responsibilities include managing engine teardown line flow, negotiating contracts, completing project status reports, and identifying value engineering opportunities. Additionally, the position involves understanding contract terms, budgets, and insurance, recommending staff development needs, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously. Development of project roadmaps, resource allocation, and communication plans is essential, along with tracking project status and ensuring alignment with business needs. Mentoring Agile teams, liaising with stakeholders, and using business analysis techniques are also key aspects of the role. Maintaining professionalism in communication with customers and internal departments, upholding company policies, and contributing to organizational excellence are integral parts of the position. Finally, performing additional duties as assigned by management is expected.

Your role will take you to new heights, as you will be tasked with these essential job responsibilities:

· Coordinate and manage Engine pre-purchase inspections (including onsite).

· Review and develop Engine shop work scopes.

· Manage light shop visit events for engines (top-case, module swaps, field events, etc.).

· Work scopes for modules and engine repairs.

· Engine Teardown Line flow management (CFM56/V2500).

· Negotiate and execute change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders as well as RO’s for Shop visits.

· Complete monthly project status reports, owner billings and financial risk assessments

· Identify and recommend value engineering and scope reduction opportunities.

· Ensure project plan is completed and communicated to project team and subcontractors.

· Understand contract terms, budgets, insurances, bonds and change orders; ensure adherence including work progress being within scope.

· Designs and maintains project vision, project working standards, and agreements.

· Recommend staff development needs, disciplinary actions, job assignments and promotions.

· Manages/oversees all aspects of multiple simultaneous fast-paced assigned projects with distributed teams.

· Develops project roadmap, release plan, resource allocation, funding request, communication plan, risks and issues management plan, test plan, and defect management plan.

· Tracks, updates, and communicates project status in a proactive manner as it relates to project progress, budget/cost, resource utilization, change requests, issues, risks, and risk mitigation plans.

· Interfaces with project stakeholders at all levels of management to ensure project priorities are aligned with business needs and expectations.

· Ensures that appropriate project documentation and deliverables are clearly defined and delivered.

· Mentors and Coaches Agile teams to ensure their adoption and successful use of Agile @ American practices.

· Acts as a liaison between business units and 3rd party vendors

· Uses business analysis techniques for gathering and documenting complex requirements, scoping, interviewing, facilitation, system component design, testing, and implementation.

· Respond to phone calls and emails in a timely manner.

· Communicate with customers and representatives of internal departments in a professional manner.

· Establish, develop, and maintain long-lasting customer relationships.

· Participate in the development of organizational and operational excellence by upholding company policies and procedures as well as demonstrating a level of professionalism and communication consistent with the expectations of the position.

· Uphold a strong company image consistent with the company’s core values; maintain a culture of professionalism and quality.

· Performs other requests and duties as assigned by management.


To succeed in this role, you will need to have:


· Ability to demonstrate initiative, independent judgment, project management and analytical skills.

· Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office applications and general computer literacy

· Skill in verbal and written communication

· Skill in problem solving through utilization of accounting practices.

· Ability to be polite, considerate, and an effective communicator in stressful situations.

· Ability to prioritize, while utilizing problem solving skills

· Ability to maintain records, review documents for accuracy, organize documents, calendar, and track matters.

· Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, coworkers, management, and others.

· Ability to research and analyze information and make recommendations to management.

· Ability to demonstrate professionalism and a team-driven attitude.

· An industry related bachelor's degree is required or Qualified Engine shop experience.

· Minimum of 5 years of project management experience is required. Engine Shop & Airline / aviation industry experience is preferred.

· Experience with GE engine is preferred but experience on CFM, Pratt & Whitney as well as IAE engines.

Requirements:


· An industry related bachelor's degree is required or Qualified Engine shop experience.

· Minimum of 5 years of project management experience is required. Engine Shop & Airline / aviation industry experience is preferred.
