Job Summary

The Assistant Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for supporting the day-to-day management and coordination of sales activities relating to CDI’s in-home window treatments design business and goals and objectives. This position will report to the Region Sales Manager. The ASM will assist in managing the growth of the region and the designers within the region.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, and training of new Designers.
  • Assist in follow-up for unbooked appointments and unsold jobs with clients and Designers.
  • Assist in helping answer designer’s questions as it pertains to Salesforce, Direct Connect and client responses to journey emails.
  • Identify opportunities to help designers in the region close more sales using Salesforce dashboard elements, and client communication.
  • Collaborate to identify opportunities to meet regional sales goals and objectives.
  • Assist in following up on service issues with designers, clients, and customer service representatives.
  • Partner with corporate management and leadership to help execute sales team initiatives.
Requirements
  • 1+ years’ experience managing, recruiting, or training in a sales environment.
  • 2+ years’ experience in commission sales.
  • Preferably experience selling in the home or selling window coverings.

Job Skills and/or Abilities

  • Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams/Zoom.
  • Experience with the ability to influence outcomes through networking and negotiating.
  • Experience using a CRM system (SalesForce.com preferred)
  • Experience working with sales teams including corporate offices, sales managers and sales consultants working remotely.
  • Ability to understand business issues and find creative solutions.
  • Ability to coach and motivate a team and an individual in a positive manner.
