Job description

Title: Treasury Management Sales Officer

FLSA: Exempt

Hours: Monday Friday 8:00 5:00

Reports To: VP Community Engagement

SUMMARY

The position of Treasury Management Sales Officer is responsible for driving deposit growth and fee income by delivering customized treasury solutions to business customers. As a Treasury Management Sales Officer, you will generate new treasury management business and maintain relationships with existing customers. This role focuses on identifying customer needs, developing strategic relationships, and promoting the banks suite of cash management products and services. The ideal candidate will be proactive business developer with strong consultative sales skills and a deep understanding of treasury operations in a community banking environment.

In addition the Treasury Management Sales Officer assures compliance with all SVB policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Develop and execute strategic sales plan to engage and close business with C-level executives (CFO, CEO, CIO, etc.)

Identify and qualify high-value business opportunities through research, networking, and outbound prospecting.

Build trusted advisor relationships with senior decision-makers to understand their business challenges and align solutions.

Drive revenue growth by prospecting new treasury management business, retaining and expanding existing customer relationships, and collaborating with other business units to achieve departmental and company goals.

Proactively identify treasury management sales opportunities, leads and/or product upgrades within an existing portfolio.

Promote treasury services internally to enhance cross-organizational collaboration and drive quality referrals and new customer acquisitions.

Participate and provide input on treasury management product development and pricing by providing client feedback, competitive market/industry information and business requirements.

Drive business development efforts in collaboration with various stakeholders to achieve financial targets and enhance customer experience.

Actively engage in community networking to expand brand awareness and foster new relationships.

Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

SECONDARY DUTIES

The position of Treasury Management Sales Officer performs duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

The position of Treasury Management Sales Officer is not responsible for the supervision of any employee(s).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of treasury management or commercial banking experience
  • Proved track record of consultative sales and relationship management.
  • Strong knowledge of cash management products (ACH, wires, remote deposit, fraud tools, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CTP (Certified Treasury Processional) designation preferred.
  • Experience in a community bank or regional financial institution preferred.
  • Familiarity with small business and middle-market client segments preferred.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with general supervision while performing duties.
  • Current drivers license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.

Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 annually depending on experience
