The Facility Operations Supervisor supports the Manager of Facility Operations and Recreation Activities. The purpose of this position is to aid in the management of the sports complex and act on the essential functions associated with maintaining the facility. This role interacts with the internal staff as well as the general public and patrons of the facility and must provide exceptional customer service and support with the operations including leagues, tournaments, recreation activities, special programs and events. It is responsible for providing supervision of and direction to the Facility Operation Assistants in the absence of the Manager of Facility Operations & Recreation Activities.

Facility Operations Supervisor Essential Job Duties

• Serves as on duty supervisor of Operation Assistants in the absence of the Manager of Facility Operations & Recreation.
• Serves as a primary point of contact for all non-emergency/emergency situations in the absence of the Manager of Facility Operations & Recreation.
• Performs facility maintenance and groundskeeping to assist with daily complex operations and beautification functions.
• Provides customer service and handles inquiries or concerns from complex patrons.
• Provides leadership in the mediation and resolution of conflicts.
• Assist with insuring proper supplies, equipment and materials are available for operations.
• Assists with event set up and tear down.
• Assists with the opening, closing and securing of the complex.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by the Complex Operations Manager of Facility Operations & Recreation

Facility Operations Supervisor Qualifications and Skills Required

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Manual dexterity.
• Knowledge of basic math skills
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and implement complex policies and procedures.

Experience and Education Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years of college level courses or an associate degree with coursework in Field and Turf Maintenance preferred.
• Two years of general experience in general grounds maintenance with supervisory duties.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

• May involve frequent bending, moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to comfortably stand and walk long distances for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in all extremes of weather conditions.
• May be exposed to high noise levels and require wearing hearing protection.
• Ability to functionally use maintenance, gardening and hand tools.
