Pinecrest Theater Attendant Summer 2024

The Theater Attendant’s primary responsibility is to sell tickets and concessions to guests of the Pinecrest Theater. The position is responsible for supporting the goal of providing a high-quality experience for our guests which is well-organized, efficient, and staffed with a well-trained and guest-friendly team. This position also helps with the overall presentation and light housekeeping of the facility. This position is a KEY member of the Dodge Ridge Team.

Each day you will have specific work to perform which includes the following:

1. As directed, assist with guest services.
2. Provide effective and appropriate communication skills in alignment with company culture with all levels of employees and guests.
3. Sell retail and food items from the concession stand.
4. Give accurate information concerning the movie schedule.
5. Assist with screen team and movie projection.
6. Use of POS System.
7. Requires you to clock yourself in and out properly.
8. Comply with daily cash handling procedures.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Somewhat unpredictable circumstances will determine how much of your workday will involve these types of activities. Many of these tasks may require some manual labor.

1. Maintaining clean workstations, including washing windows, cleaning and emptying trash.
2. Sweeping or washing down the outside of work area.
3. Picking up litter.
4. Maintain break areas.

• Ability to work with others, be well groomed, and present a good public image. Ability to work with a diverse public and to provide quality customer service.
• Ability to communicate well with others, both verbally and written. Must possess strong conflict resolution skills.
• Must possess a general knowledge of accounting principles.
• Ability to effectively use computers for data processing and records management. Must possess skill in using computers and other office equipment.
• Possess the ability to multi-task, work independently, troubleshoot, and prioritize.
• Safe working habits at all times and strict adherence to the Dodge Ridge Safety Policies.
• Ability to lift heavy objects with weights up to and in excess of 50 lbs., and to perform routine cleaning tasks.
• Good manual and physical dexterity and good physical fitness.
• Be punctual, honest, trustworthy, and possess good judgment.

• Provide a positive and helpful attitude towards all our guests and all Dodge Ridge employees.

Weather conditions and the number of guests planned in the theatre have a great deal of influence on the scheduling of theatre employees. When conditions are normal, you can expect to work 20-30 hours a week. During busy periods, you may be expected to work overtime if needed. You can expect to work most weekends and holidays when the campgrounds are open, evening shifts will also be required. You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your workstation at your scheduled time.

Attendants are often required to perform their tasks in bad weather. High winds, heavy snowfall, low visibility, rain, and extremely cold or warm temperatures, are just some of the weather conditions that you should expect to encounter during the camping season.

To project a professional appearance at Dodge Ridge, your department requires a uniform be worn, including a nametag. Please wear both at all times during your scheduled shift.

We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job. However, you will be required to provide some items as part of your job, as listed below. (We strongly encourage you to contact your supervisor for a description of the quality, color, and style of the items you are required to provide before you purchase them.)
