Job Description

Alderson Loop is looking for a Jr. Software Developer to join a project with an enterprise client in the Energy space. The ideal candidate will have experience with Angular on the front-end, .NET on the back-end, and familiarity/ experience with relational databases. Previous experience working in an agile environment, working with Jira/ Confluence, Git, and CI/CD is also highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
• Write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications and development standards, with a focus on architecting and developing desktop application solutions with rich graphical UI and efficient middle-tier service layers.
• Collaborate with analysts and designers to ensure the successful delivery of software projects.
• Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and external vendors to resolve software-related issues and enhance application functionality and performance.
• Recommend technologies that will increase cost-effectiveness and flexibility within their domain.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of technologies within their domain and stay abreast of company strategic business plans.
• Make data-driven decisions and adhere to coding methods and best practices.

Required Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in .Net technologies (including C# .Net, VB .Net, ASP .Net), Angular 12 and up, core JavaScript libraries, AJAX, HTML 5.0, CSS 3.0, WCF, JSON, SQL Server (2008 or up), Entity Framework, and publishing/consuming web services.
• Strong understanding and hands-on usage of Gitflow Workflow, CI/CD, Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodology.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with AWS core services and CI/CD using GitHub Actions/Jenkins.
