The Opportunity: The Information Technology Program's mission is to continually enhance our services to agency divisions, WSDA employees, and ultimately the stakeholders of Washington while providing core IT services, network connectivity and software solutions in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

We achieve our mission by identifying and resolving business challenges through the deployment of efficient software solutions, a secure and reliable network, and a Centralized Service Desk focusing on always delivering excellent customer service. As an IT Application Developer, you will play a critical role in supporting WSDA's transition to the statewide One Washington Workday program. This includes monitoring and managing current integrations with statewide and enterprise financial systems, participating in statewide technical workgroups, identifying downstream system impacts, and preparing agency systems for the migration to One Washington.

The position is also responsible for planning and implementing the transition to a replacement solution, including documenting current-state processes and integrations, coordinating the technical evaluation of replacement options, and supporting data migration and cutover activities. In addition to Dynamics GP-specific work, the incumbent performs journey-level application development tasks across the agency, providing software development, integration support, troubleshooting, SDLC documentation, and project participation. Position and Salary Information: WSDA is recruiting for a full-time permanent IT Application Developer - Journey position within the Director's Office Division.

This position is located in Olympia, Washington. This is a non-represented position. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the preferred candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The typical starting salary range for this position is: $84,120.00- $110,364.00 annually. Duties Some of what you'll do: ERP System Development, Maintenance, and Administration Serve as the agency's subject matter expert and primary technical developer for The ERP business application (currently Dynamics GP). Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot ERP application modules used by WSDA, including financial, purchasing, vendor management, and custom business processes

Design, develop, and maintain integrations between the ERP application system and other agency or statewide systems. Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot EDI, EFT, banking, and other external ERP application connections. Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, triggers, and scripts to support ERP application functionality and reporting.

Support and maintain ERP application reporting using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Management Reporter, and other reporting platforms. Provide Tier 3 technical support for Dynamics GP functional issues escalated from Finance/Accounting and IT staff. Coordinate with vendors, WaTech, and statewide technical teams on ERP application patches, service packs, and version upgrades.

Ensure adherence to internal control, audit, and security requirements for financial system data. One Washington / Workday Transition Support Represent WSDA IT in all technical activities related to the One Washington Workday implementation and transition away from the current ERP application. Identify and document all ERP application integrations, customizations, dependencies, scripts, and data flows that will be impacted by Workday adoption.

Assist in the design and testing of new interfaces between Workday and downstream agency systems. ERP application Replacement Planning and Migration Activities Lead technical analysis, planning, and execution for the agency's transition away from Microsoft Dynamics GP. Document current-state Dynamics GP architecture, integrations, workflows, and data structures.

Work with Finance, IT leadership, and vendors to evaluate potential Dynamics GP replacement solutions. Identify migration requirements, risks, and technical constraints. Support procurement activities by providing technical input and requirements.

Develop transition plans, migration strategies, test plans, and implementation timelines. Coordinate with Application Development, Systems, and Security teams to ensure successful migration and system cutover. Support new system configuration, integration development, QA, and deployment.

Qualifications Who should apply. Professionals with: Bachelor's degree in computer science OR Four (4) years of IT work experience including three (3) years as a journey or equivalent OR Eight (8) years of lT work experience including three (3) years as an lT-Journey level OR Equivalent (private sector); with progressive responsibility within information technology to include two (2) years of experience in business requirements or high-level designs for business software applications. AND Knowledge and application of techniques for requirements gathering and writing high-level designs.

Understanding of user interface design. Excellent understanding of programming logic and database structure/processing. Technical knowledge of and three (3) years of experience in application design.

Understanding of GIS technology, experience in implementing GIS applications, and knowledge of data management for GIS systems. Technical knowledge of and three (3) years' experience working with: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Financial System Visual Studio ASP.NET 6-8 C# Blazor Microsoft SQL 2016-2022 Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Entity Framework JavaScript API Integration Web Services Crystal Report (version 10-11) Project Management Project Estimates In addition to the above qualifications, the following desired knowledge, skills, and abilities will make your application more competitive: Technical knowledge of and experience working with Dynamics GP. Advanced knowledge of SQL Server 2019-2022

Advanced knowledge in using MS-VisualStudio Development tools to maintain and develop agency or enterprise level systems. Ability to provide high-level support for more than one project at a time.
