Job description

Transform your technical skills into impactful solutions! As a Technical Application Specialist based in our Dublin, California office, you will provide technical support via phone, email, and chat within our Application Support Group. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging software, as well as documenting and escalating issues as necessary. We are seeking applicants with strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to customer support.

What you will be doing:

  • Confer with customers via phone, email, or chat to diagnose technical and system problems, troubleshoot, repair, and test solutions within our Application Support Group.
  • Respond to customer calls in a professional manner, providing appropriate solutions and advice.
  • Interact with customers to perform complex testing, support, and troubleshooting of technical functions remotely.
  • Ensure service quality levels are maintained and adhered to, handling all issues in a timely manner.
  • Review outstanding issues, ensuring customers and management are kept informed of progress.
  • Attend relevant Epicor product training courses in line with the Application Specialist role.

What you will likely bring:

  • 3+ years of applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
  • Industry knowledge and experience.
  • Desired bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong customer service skills, detail-oriented, initiative-taker with a positive attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to handle inquiries from customers via multiple channels in a fast-paced call center environment.

What could set you apart:

  • Experience supporting Telecom platforms, Inventory Receiving, or troubleshooting EDI integrations, mappings, or transaction issues.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, ERP applications or analytical tools.
  • Knowledge of financial, manufacturing, retail, or distribution business processes.
  • Experience in database administration, installation, and configuration.
  • Ability to work all available shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Spanish speaking will be valued.
  • Networking, Cloud, SAAS and Retail skills helpful.
