- Collaborate with business partners and key stakeholders to forecast budget for shipping expenses and labor costs across multiple regions
- Analyze sales, order, and unit volumes to assist the operations team in building daily, weekly, and monthly unit capacity plans
- Perform analyses to deconstruct daily, weekly, and monthly shipping charges, scrutinizing expenses and providing recommendations for improvement to key leadership figures

- ID opportunities for continuous improvement to process effectiveness, technology, productivity, and automation in the transportation sector of the business
- Train new Financial Analysts on policies, procedures, systems, and best practices
- Understand the impact of direct spending and how it affects pick/pack efficiency, allocation of labor, etc.
- Serve as versatile analytical lead in other functions across the company as-needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, required
- 4-6+ years of experience in FP&A and data analytics in a transportation-heavy industry (fashion/CPG experience not required, but a plus... a 3PL or transportation audit background would be REALLY interesting)
- Background in investment banking or management consulting, a big plus
- Expert forecasting, variance analysis, budgeting, and management reporting skills
- Experience deconstructing data related to outbound shipping, labor costs, and transportation and/or strong track record of using data to solve complex business challenges
- Familiarity with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (MS Access, SQL, etc.) and other financial systems (Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP, etc.)
- Ability to work independently, cross-functionally, and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create financial models and provide insights-driven recommendations to improve business processes and policies
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, where proactive attitudes can mean near-limitless potential
