Job Description

This position will focus on project delivery for clients while driving productivity and the need to maintain project quality; responsible for cost, schedule, and quality capital project deliverables.

Projects will be supported from beginning to end by assessing, tracking, and monitoring the projects and to ensure increased demand and marketability with the possibility of enhancement.

Supervisory Duties:

·        Experience managing automation and controls technical effort.

·        Oversee a team of engineers, specialists, and technicians to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.

·        Support client forward operations such as sales, marketing, and technical delivery.

·        Report directly to Principal Engineer to ensure management of team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.

·        Contribute to internal process management review and standard development.

·        Manage project portfolios and ensure each project is delivered on time, and within target profit margins.

·        Manage billable resources and ensure proper skills are deployed per effort.

Duties/Responsibilities:

·        May function as lead engineer and/or project manager for high-level, complex efforts.

·        Lead an interdepartmental team to complete assigned projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.

·        Outline tasks involved in projects and delegate accordingly.

·        Manage procurement activities and schedule resource mobilization.

·        Lead cost/risk analysis, estimating expected costs for projects.

·        Facilitate project estimate efforts.

·        Support project controls activities.

·        Conduct risk assessments; report identified risks to management; provide recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).

·        Address questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout every project.

·        Liaison between company, customers, and vendors to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.

·        Help develop project budgets, scopes, and schedules.

·        Supervise progress of development projects.

·        Perform quality checks on deliverables prior to issue to the client.

·        Prepare periodic progress and cost reports for leadership.

·        Analyze equipment, systems, processes, and systems to identify modifications.

·        Conduct cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.

·        Communicate and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.

Qualifications:

·        4-year degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field required.

·        cGMP experience is a must.

·        Manufacturing experience is a must.

·        Minimum 10+ years’ work experience in an industrial environment.

·        Understanding automation technologies is necessary.

·        Professional Engineer License or EIT preferred.

·        Construction or installation experience is a plus.

·        Design or programming technical background.

·        Prior military experience is a plus.

·        Experience implementing projects in a controlled manufacturing environment.

·        Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

·        Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

·        Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

·        Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

·        Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

·        Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

·        Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

·        Thorough understanding of, or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.

·        Proficient with Microsoft Project or related software.

Physical Requirements:

·        Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

·        May require constant standing and moving 8-12 hours per day.

·        Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.

·        Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and kneel.

·        Must be able to push and pull up to 15 lbs.

·        Must be able to reach overhead.
