Facilities Custodian and Maintenance Mechanic

We are looking for an experienced person to clean, maintain and keep in order our high-end facility which serves as the beautiful corporate headquarters building and grounds of Venturedyne Ltd. located in Pewaukee. This person will be personally in charge of daily, weekly, monthly and annual duties pertaining to the maintenance and upkeep of our facility (inside and out) as well as overseeing and coordinating outside vendors when such services are needed. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) snow removal with our enclosed, heated-cab snow blower, lawn care with our John Deere tractor, cleaning our inside parking garage and lobby floors with our walk-behind Tenant floor cleaner. This person will also check in (daily) on equipment located at a secondary nearby building.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Maintenance of building equipment such as boilers, air handlers, chillers, condensers, water softeners, generators, water heaters, pumps and motors, well pumps, etc. Outside vendors will be used for repairs when jobs are complex.
• Maintenance of routine building items such as lighting (inside and out), plumbing (sinks, toilets, etc.), paint and stain touch ups, carpet and floor repairs, water feature, etc.
• Coordinate and ensure all inspections are up-to-date (boilers, fire system, elevators/lifts, back flow preventers, holding tanks, etc.).
• Personally do repairs to the property, building and equipment, whenever possible.
• Obtain and present repair and equipment quotes for approval, then coordinate outside vendors to do work when necessary.
• Lawn care, light landscaping, snow removal and salting of our corporate facility (and upkeep of related equipment such as floor scrubber, lawn tractor, etc.).
• Clean and maintain our corporate facility (cleaning floors and windows, vacuuming carpets, dusting woodwork, cleaning common areas, collecting trash, restocking lavatories, etc.).
• Purchase and maintain an inventory of consumable products, cleaning supplies, spare parts for equipment, etc.
• Put up and take down holiday décor and trees.
• Assist in set up/take down of items for special events when necessary.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS POSITION:

• General knowledge of HVAC, boilers, electrical, plumbing, etc.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing of basic equipment.
• A desire to take ownership of keeping our headquarters in tip-top shape worthy of show-piece presentation and the ability to work independently on projects.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• A cheerful, helpful attitude and good communication skills.
