Legal Assistant - Litigation
World-class Birmingham law firm is seeking a litigation legal assistant with prior trial experience to join their team on a long-term contract assignment.
This position is supporting one of the firm's largest clients with their litigation cases both in court and at the law firm's office.
Prior experience with E-filing in Oakland County is a must, as is experience in preparing and filing motions, responses, subpoenas, deposition notices, etc... In addition there will be some witness prep, pre-trial motion work, and statement preparations.
Excellent attention to detail and organization is a requirement, as there will be a large amount of documentation involved with many involved parties. Firm has an outside electronic discovery specialist involved that the candidate will be working with, but the candidate needs to have a good understanding and prior experience in working within document management/production and electronic discovery tools, such as Adobe, PDF's, Sharefile, etc...
