Pricing Analyst

Department: General & Admin, Solutions
Location: Carol Stream, IL
Type: Full Time

The Pricing Analyst ensures that product costing and price quotes are developed on a timely and accurate basis, and files are updated to ensure proper systems followed.  The position will support the gathering of data to allow for appropriate costing decisions to be easily made.  They will also work closely cross functionally for margin protection initiatives. 

They will perform regular and as needed reporting and analysis on the profitability of various value added lines of business. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Support new product quotations
  • Maintain quotation worksheet templates
  • Review quotation worksheets
  • Execute the costing model and review with Product Management
  • Develop multi step and third party quotations
  • Support Large RFP quotation activities
    • Collate raw material requirements
    • Maintain customer formatted bid templates
    • Maintain records/files

• Ensure quotation files are accurately maintained
  • Add product codes to costing templates;  manage cost extract from JDE
  • Ensure cost amounts are accurately maintained
  • Review costs periodically with PM’s

• Create Quotes and deliver to sales people
  • Review margin levels with mgmt.
  • Take final margin and cost quotations and develop price quotes
  • Publish to SFDC and send to reps to deliver to customers

• Assist with cost, profitability, and efficiency analysis
  • Monitor and report on product gross margin
  • Analyze specific blend profitability
  • Refine excel costing model based upon actual results
• Project support
  • Coordination & Tracking of large price quotes
  • Assembly of price bids
  • Review and upload of price quotes to websites
• Support Salesforce use and reporting
  • Assist with entry of quotes/projects
  • Ensure records up to date
  • Provide standard and custom reporting

Education and/or Experience

Undergraduate degree from 4 year college or university in a supply chain or financial discipline,  or three to five years related experience and/or training.

Language Skills

Ability to read, understand and modify specification documents as directed. The ability to format and create regulatory/quality documents where necessary.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Thorough understanding of unit of measure conversions. 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to make educated judgments on correctness, accuracy, and appropriateness of information. Must be able to organize, and prioritize and make decisions. 

Organizational Skills

Must be able to create and maintain systems for keeping up on details on multiple projects; providing reminders of things coming up, administering tasks between parties (with direction), creating and maintaining files on various projects.

Attention to Detail

Must continually demonstrate a very strong attention to detail, careful execution of tasks, and regularly check own work before submitting as drafted or completed.    

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, the individual must have a very strong working knowledge of the JDE & FBSS system, specifically the sales order, manufacturing management, and financial reporting aspects of the system.  The individual should have very strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills; MS Powerpoint; with understanding and willingness to use Visio and Salesforce.com.  General comp
