Senior Business Analyst

Job Overview:

One of the leading firms in specialty medical chemical solutions, is searching for a Senior Business Analyst. This role reports directly into the CFO/CIO and will play a key role in the company’s analysis in supporting companywide functions. Key areas of focus will be on Business Intelligence reporting tools development, ETL/ELT processes and business analysis including helping lead projects around continuous improvement and system improvements and implementations.

Responsibilities:

• Use effective analytical and data development skills to simplify complex business flows and enable faster decision making and execution
• Conduct requirements gathering for new metrics, new data ingestion or data migrations and project scoping with business insight analysts, other subject matter experts, and business users to discover and define business needs
• Collaborate closely with internal and external developers to implement modern technology providing necessary guidance to test the implementation process
• Participate as key member growing the company’s business intelligence reporting infrastructure
• Work with the Business Analytics Project Manager to design, create, and deliver analytical solutions to multiple departments throughout the company
• Help drive the analysis needed to support driving KPI’s and non-value-added process reductions
• Responsible for supporting and leading special projects to improve process efficiency, scalability, and sustainability
• Support the development of ETL/ELT integrations from diverse data sources and structures along with Applications and BI Architecture teams
• Promote and develop reporting tools using modern technology with end-users

Qualifications:

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field required
• At least 4 years of data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics related experience

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to analyze business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes
• Ability to thrive in a team environment
• Proficient data mining and analysis skills along with an understanding of ETL/ELT processes
• Experience with MS Power Platform products (PowerPivot, Power BI, SQL Databases)
• Ability to manage competing priorities and excellent organizational skills
• ERP Experience required, involvement with ERP or CRM implementations a plus
• Effective Communication Skills (Written & Verbal)
