Maintenance Mechanic

Troy Design and Manufacturing is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company. At TDM, we use 21st Century manufacturing processes such as 3D design and printing, laser cutting, and automation for prototype and low volume manufacturing of components of current and future Ford vehicles. At our Chicago modification center facility, we do state of the art vehicle modifications for multiple police interceptor platforms.

We are currently seeking a skilled Level 3 Maintenance Mechanic for 2nd Shift (4:30pm start time).

Starting pay $22.62 with shift premium.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of the following:

Level 3

• Electrical/Hydraulic/Pneumatic- Read Understand prints/schematics
• Machine Repair- Mechanic repairs, guarding, bearings, sprockets, bushings
• Furniture relocation/installation- Disassembly/Reassembly of modular cubicles following provided layout and or direction
• General Building Maintenance- Lavatories, ceiling systems, wall repair, wall construction, locks, painting, windows, door closures, pavement repair
• Hi-Lo Maintenance/mobile equipment-Basic PM, vehicle electrical system, oil/filter changes, cooling system repair.
• Troubleshooting- Basic electrical circuits, hydraulic circuits, pneumatic circuits
• Welding/Fabrication- Arc, MIG, TIG, Gas
• Predictive Maintenance-IR camera/ultrasonic/gas sniffer
• Lighting- Installation/repair/replacement
• Lifting and Rigging

Level 4

• Crane Operator Permit/Fork Lift Operator Permit/Aerial Platform Operator Permit- Successfully complete training and secure permit
• Maintenance Safety- Lock out/Tag out, Confined Space
• Basic Industrial Electric- Continuity, conduit installation, fusing
• Measuring Devices- Electrical meter, tape measure, amp probes, wiggys, protractor, caliper, thermometer, micrometers
• Basic Shop Safety- Shop rules
• Basic Hand Tool Knowledge & Operation- Hammers, wrenches, drills, screwdrivers, jacks,
• Basic Machine Equipment Knowledge & Operation- Turn on - Turn off.
• Basic Equipment Maintenance
• Housekeeping - 5S
