Bizzell is seeking a part-time Clinical Home Health Consultant (20 hours per hour) to be responsible for providing clinical oversight for work with home health providers. The incumbent will establish systems and procedures to conduct rigorous clinical practices for health care services delivery projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Responsible for reviewing all aspects of the home health care infrastructure.

· Provide clinician insight surrounding clinical best practices in Home Health care service delivery.

· Consultation surrounding the appropriateness of clinical assumptions in development of quality program design to achieve better participant outcomes.

· Monitor and consult on clinical/service delivery issues for State Medicaid agencies.

· Serve as clinician expert on interdisciplinary team of research, payment and rate methodologists, and cost experts examining Home Health programming.

· This person serves in a multidisciplinary capacity providing services to a wide variety of populations which may include pediatric, medical/surgical, orthopedics, and outpatient.

· Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image.

· Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations.

· Evaluate and assess the patient's medical condition as ordered and report any significant change in condition immediately to a physician for medical intervention and follow-up.

· Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses to care in accordance with regulatory standards.


Required Skills/Abilities:

· Stay up to date on laws and regulations regarding home health practices.

· Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, strong supervisory and leadership skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to act out of good judgment and without personal bias.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, accounting software, and databases.

Education and Experience:

· 7 + years of clinical experience.

· 5 + years of Medicaid and Medicare experience.

· 3+ years of experience in health care analytics desired.

· Possesses a degree from a baccalaureate and Masters (or Doctorate) program in a clinical practice area (e.g., nursing, physical therapy, long-term care, etc.) approved by an accredited organization.

· Community/home health experience.

· Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
