Job Summary

Hanover Bank is looking for a Credit Risk Administrator I. The Credit Risk Administrator I (CRA) is responsible for assisting the Credit Officers in managing Credit Administration functions, including but not limited to the items listed below, and will report to the Deputy Chief Credit Officer. The position is expected to maintain close contact with other Lending areas within the Bank.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Aid in updating/ amending all lending-related policies, ensuring required approvals are granted.
  • Assist the Credit Risk Officers with internal and external audit examinations.
  • Interfacing with loan reviewers, regulators, and/or auditors as needed, including follow-up on cited loans.
  • Review/manage pending audit items to ensure resolutions are completed promptly.
  • Monitor all third parties to ensure required documents are received for approval to conduct business with the Bank and for annual reviews.
  • Obtain real estate market reports from various sources and assists in preparing the Portfolio Assessment/ Market Analysis report on a semi-annually basis, or, as required by policy.
  • Monitor/ Update reports required for the Asset Classification Committee.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.
  • Work closely with all members of CRE Originations, Portfolio Management, and Loan Servicing.
  • Assist in preparing the monthly Lending and Credit Administration Board reports.
  • Assist in preparing the quarterly CRE Credit Risk Management report.
  • As part of the overall team of Bank employees, this position may be requested to assist in the support of other Bank activities.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work in banking or finance is preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables.
