Job Description

Delta Research is an AS9100 and ISO9001 registered facility which manufactures Automotive & Truck Differentials, Gear Products, Prototype/Development and Production, Transmission Builds. In addition, we provide contract gear and CMM inspection services. We are also a NADCAP approved non-destructive testing facility and currently provide Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Nital Etch.
Tasks:
· Set up and operate CNC Wire and Sinker EDM equipment with minimal to no supervision.
· Hold tolerances of between .001"-.0001" on lead and involute.
· Maintain proper documentation of SPC data and collaborate with management staff and supervisor. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques is helpful.
Verify part quantity with the job traveler.
Make machine adjustments as required to maintain print specifications.
Load and unload machines as per the cycle time noted on the traveler.
Determine when wheels need replacement.
Assist in determining tooling & fixturing needs.

· 1st piece and in-process inspection of work required.
· Overtime generally required.
· Additional duties as assigned.
Must work required overtime.
Skills/Key Competencies:
· Use inspection methods to determine size changes
· Understanding blueprints & travelers
· Ability to inspection machined features with micrometers, gages and/or amps required.
Qualifications:
· Operate machinery as required

· Quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
· Quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
