CNC Wire EDM Operator

Location: Hazelwood, MO
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Pay: Based on Experience

Are you an experienced CNC Wire EDM Operator looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a growing precision manufacturing company? We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our team in Hazelwood, MO. This is a direct hire position offering the opportunity to work on high-precision tooling and components in a clean, professional shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC Wire EDM machines to manufacture precision components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Load materials, fixtures, and tooling while ensuring proper machine setup.
  • Monitor machining operations and make offset adjustments as needed to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and indicators.
  • Verify finished parts meet dimensional and quality specifications.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment and work area clean.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and communicate with supervisors or engineering when necessary.
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience setting up and operating CNC Wire EDM machines is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
  • Experience working with precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong understanding of tight-tolerance machining.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machine and setup issues.
  • Knowledge of G-code/CNC controls is a plus.
  • Experience with tooling, dies, molds, or precision machining is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
