CNC/WIRE EDM Machinist

  • Job Type: Contract to Hire Opportunity
  • Pay: $20 to $30 an hour depending on experience
  • Available Shifts:1st/2nd/Weekend
    • 1st Shift: Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with overtime as needed on Fridays
      • The 1st shift opening | Seeking a strong candidate that can mentor and assist with training less experienced operators. Programming experience is preferred for this shift.
    • 2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. with overtime as needed on Fridays
    • Weekend Shift: Friday through Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. .| Employees working 36 hours on the weekend shift are paid for 40 hours.

We are currently seeking experienced CNC/WEDM Operators for a highly respected manufacturing facility in the Port Huron area. This company is known for its excellent culture, clean work environment, long term stability, and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC and Wire EDM machines
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
  • Perform quality checks and inspections on finished parts
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Make machine offsets and adjustments
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Support production and quality goals
Qualifications:
  • Previous CNC machining and/or Wire EDM experience preferred
  • Programming experience is a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
