a WIRE EDM Machine Operator to join our well-established Vernon Hills, Illinois manufacturing division. We're about 30 miles north of Chicago and 30 miles south of Kenosha, WI. Summary
The WIRE EDM Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up and monitoring our 3 late model GF Wire EDM machines.
Qualifications
- At least 1+ year of Wire EDM experience. Machine programming ideal but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of English and Metric systems of measurement.
- Knowledge of visual and dimensional inspection equipment and techniques.
- Ability to make computer entries and read and follow written technical instructions.
- Outstanding quality and attention to detail to achieve for high-precision requirements.
- Must be able to work independently but also collaborate and communicate well with others.
- Achieve excellence starting at $24-$34 hourly with annual pay increases and bonus potential. Additional 10% of base rate for 2nd Shift.
Essential Duties
- Set up and monitor Wire EDM machines for performance, making adjustments to maintain productivity and quality.
- Perform routine checks and machine troubleshooting.
- Inspect parts and adjust machine as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Maintain required documentation.
- Work collaboratively with Engineers and Tool Room to ensure expectations are met, and to assess challenges and implement solutions.
- Follow all safety and housekeeping requirements.
