CNC Machinist/Machine Operator (3rd Shift)

Pay: $24-26/hr. +25% shift differential

Shift: Sunday-Thursday (10:30pm to 7am)

Description:

  • Cannonball Recruiting is seeking a 3rd shift CNC Machinist/Machine Operator that will be responsible for setting up and operating various machines to support the fabrication process in a structural steel fabrication shop.

Requirements:

  • Previous machining experience that includes operating a lathe, mill, or CNC machining center is required
  • Experience in setting offsets and tooling for first piece inspection
  • Familiarity with XYZ axis on machining centers
  • Ability to machine compound tapers and end mills
  • Experienced operating material handling equipment such as jib or overhead cranes using proper lifting techniques
  • Ability to accurately layout and measure projects

  • MG Oxy & MG Titan Burning Machines
  • CNC Punch
  • Rojar Milling Machine
  • Brake Press
  • Gemini Burning/Drilling Machining Centers

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to load and unload machines with first piece checks and required documentation
  • Perform various burning, punching, drilling, grinding, and brake operator assistance, material handling, or other miscellaneous operations
  • Operate portable powered grinders to rough grind burrs, scale, rough edges, or welds on a variety of types and sizes of structural steel parts
  • Use hand lift truck, overhead crane, or hoists to lift, move, or position products in work or storage areas
