Job description

We are looking for a quality-minded well-rounded machinist/CNC operator for a second shift opening.  In this role you would be responsible for different tasks utilizing your skills and knowledge.  Primary Role would be running production on our Fanuc controlled CNC vertical machining centers.  Secondary role will be machining and finishing of products which are primarily carbon brushes. 

Shifts Available:

  • 2nd Shift - 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday - Friday 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of full-time operator skills on a CNC machining center
  • Mid-level ability to perform your own offsets and tool changes.
  • Industrial math skills, ability to read drawings and use gages.
  • Ability to follow specific work instructions.
  • Maintain quality and output standards.
  • Possess a high performance and continuous improvement mindset. 
  • Experience with using surface grinders, manual machines

This is a one-person CNC operation on 2nd shift, however training for the first 30 to 60 days will occur on 1st shift. 

Once fully trained, you will move to 2nd shift and have responsibility for the production of electrical brushes including output and quality of product. As the only CNC Operator on the shift, you must be responsible and resourceful with prior CNC machining skills on vertical machining centers.

Wage Range: $19-24/hr. plus Shift Premium depending on experience level.

  • 2nd Shift Premium: $1.00/hour
