Hughes Technical Services, a Division of AP4 Group, is seeking a full time Electrical Field Service Engineer
AP4 Group is a global full-service provider of heavy-duty & aeroderivative industrial gas turbine maintenance, including spare parts distribution, component repairs, and field services. What are your responsibilities?
The Electrical Field Engineer performs maintenance, service and troubleshooting of electrical systems, primarily, AVR, SFC, generator protection, synchronizing and generators, at customer’s power plants. This position is remote and requires extensive travel to customer locations.

What are your responsibilities?
The Electrical Field Engineer performs maintenance, service and troubleshooting of electrical systems, primarily, AVR, SFC, generator protection, synchronizing and generators, at customer’s power plants. This position is remote and requires extensive travel to customer locations.
Essential Duties
- Preparation and safe execution of work tasks independently or within a team.
- On-site maintenance and testing of electrical systems.
- On-site installation and commissioning support of electrical system upgrades
- Test electrical circuits and components.
- Ensure that equipment works to its specifications.
- On-site troubleshooting of electrical systems failure, including analyzing of event data
- Complete Field service reports, feedback record, and quality documentation in timely manner.
- Follow safety procedures and comply with electrical codes and standards.
- Stay up to date with the latest control system technologies and industry best practices. Pursue relevant ongoing training and certification.
- Submit all reports, documentation and expense reports following the company policy.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- At least 5 years electrical field service experience.
- Knowledge of ABB / Alstom AVR and SFC systems preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Self-motivated and willingness to learn every day.
