Job Description

Position Function - Under the direction Program Manager, performs assigned duties necessary to provide general clerical and customer service functions at Keller Senior Activities Center.

Essential Duties% of Performance

Performs assigned duties necessary to provide general clerical and customer functions. Duties include, but are not limited to: guest services, answering phones, cash handling, taking and/or disseminating messages, information gathering and/or providing, and complaint handling. Duties may include, but are not limited to: filing, organizing, record keeping, typing, proof reading, mail handling, membership management, program registration, social media managament, etc.Assists with set up and break down for programs.95%

Possible exposure to dust, mold, electricity, and inclement weather (extreme heat or cold). Requirements/Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesRequired knowledge and experience is normally obtained through the completion of a high school diploma or GED, and one (1) to three (3) years of work related experience is required.Vocational training and/or work experience in local government is preferred. First Aid and CPR certifications from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Ellis & Associates required, or the ability to obtain within five (5) months of hire.Ability to work under high demands, short time constraints, and the pressure of a fast paced work environment.Ability to type, read and write letters, memos, emails, public notices, etc.Ability to establish and maintain effective working and professional relationships with City and other public employees, public officials, contractors, vendors, and the general public. Ability to develop spreadsheets, reports, and other job related analysis.Ability to use Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.). Must possess good oral and written communication skills. Must be able to utilize good organizational skills, accurate filing, and efficient record keeping practices.Must be able to communicate and present oneself in a professional manner, and have the ability to successfully work with confidential information.Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver license. Must pass all post offer pre-employment processes and/or procedures, to include but not limited to Drug Screen, Physical Examination, and applicable Background Checks.
