Do you have 3-5 years' experience working as an applications engineer in a metal parts CNC manufacturing environment?

Our client, a family-owned CNC machining company located in Bloomingdale, IL, is hiring an experienced CNC Applications Engineer to join their team.
CNC Applications Engineer Responsibilities include:
- Creating proposals & quotes for customers.
- Determining tooling, run time, materials, machinery.
- Determining workflow
- Create tool layout sheet specifying all tooling and hardware needed to set up a specific job in a specific machine tool. Also identifying Autocrib inventory number for perishable tooling so operators can locate appropriate cutting tool.
- Create color coded “offset print” to communicate to the machine operator what tool effects what geometry on the piece part so the operator can make appropriate adjustments to keep part within specification.
- Maintain and update layouts and offset prints to keep current with process improvements and changes.
- Continuous Improvement.
- Troubleshoot & repair machinery.
- Perform machine set ups with department is behind or when set up person is out.
- Programming CNC machinery & process engineering.
- Train personnel on machine setup, machine operation, and machine repair for all Index and C.N.C. department machinery.

Requirements:
• At least 3-5 years of machine programming experience
• Knowledge of machining processing and CNC machines.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, GDT, inspection equipment, and tooling.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Create CNC programs using Partmaker or Espirit CAD CAM software for CNC turning centers, Swiss type CNC turning centers and CNC multispindle, Manufactures index, Myano, Star, Mori Seiki, Okuma, Daewon, Takamaz and ZPS. Must be able to provide all CNC Programs for 33 CNC Machines.
