Our independent physician partners achieve exceptional results in every aspect of value-based care, contributing to enhanced patient care and improved practice outcomes. Innovista Health is a full-service management services organization with a commitment to revolutionizing practice, offering solutions like multi-payer program administration, quality, utilization, and care coordination services, as well as performance improvement insights and reporting.

Innovista Health Solutions, based in Illinois, is an organization with a far-reaching influence, operating in both Illinois and Texas. At Innovista, we trust in the power of innovative programs and dedicated people to propel us forward in today's ever-changing healthcare market. We are currently looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) reporting out of our Oak Brook, IL office.

Summary:

As a key member of our executive team, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will bring strategic oversight to our operational endeavors, working in lockstep with the CEO, CFO, and board to steer the company toward sustainable growth and profitability.

We're seeking an accomplished operations professional, adept at expanding teams, instilling accountability, and boosting customer satisfaction through their exceptional leadership of people, processes, and technology. With a passion for transforming healthcare, the ideal candidate is committed to building a customer-centric, value-based care company.

The COO will pioneer initiatives to enhance our operating infrastructure, fostering a growth-oriented environment across our team of 225+ employees spread across various domains, including implementation services, medical management, population health case management, risk adjustment, utilization management, strategic initiatives, and markets.

Taking a hands-on approach, the COO will closely engage with our customers to understand and cater to their needs, enriching their overall experience. They will be instrumental in developing and guiding the company's performance metrics, ensuring critical data is readily accessible to senior management and board members for informed decision-making.

The COO will be continuously on the lookout for ways to augment value and drive profitability, ensuring Innovista's financial systems, business processes, and operational model are poised to support our anticipated growth trajectory.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day business operations, managing P&L while envisioning and implementing strategies for near and long-term value.
  • Enhance and streamline an overarching operational structure; revamp cross-functional processes, cultivate client relationships, identify KPIs for efficiency and cost savings; merge diverse operations to optimize financial performance.
  • Continually measure and refine customer satisfaction, aiming for continuous improvement.
  • Innovate strategies to solidify Innovista's position within the value-based care arena.
  • Accelerate EBITDA growth through operational efficiencies, a metrics-driven approach, and nurturing a culture of accountability.
  • Collaborate with senior management to refine the go-to-market strategy, driving revenue growth through diverse income sources.
  • Adopt a hands-on and mentoring style in managing the team, fostering a culture rooted in exceptional customer service, quality, integrity, and accountability.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top-tier talent through effective coaching, training, and leadership initiatives.
  • Implement and standardize processes across the board, including the onboarding experience.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and standards, shifts in market dynamics, regulatory changes, and other factors impacting the company.
  • Enhance internal communication channels to encourage continuous feedback, identify new opportunities for growth and expansion, and capitalize on potential economies of scale.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this role will be a seasoned and esteemed executive with a proven record of expanding a profitable, intricate healthcare business. They should exhibit the leadership flexibility to steer a varied team of subject matter experts in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. While a background in value-based care would be a distinct advantage, it's not a prerequisite.

  • Candidates should have at least 10 to 15 years of progressive experience, with part of this tenure ideally serving as a COO or high-ranking executive of a healthcare services company. Experience in leading an organization through rapid transformation and adeptly adapting and reorienting the business is crucial.
  • Be adept at change management and reviving underperforming business units. We are seeking a disciplined, operationally focused, and dynamic leader with the creativity to devise unique problem-solving strategies.
  • Possess a robust data-driven skill set and extensive experience in establishing appropriate KPIs, metrics, and insightful analytics to enhance business performance and foster continuous improvement.
  • A strong strategic and analytical mindset is required, along with the ability to convert strategy and vision into actionable operational and financial goals. A proven track record of business growth and management, including leveraging operational efficiencies to boost profitability and growth, is vital.
  • The role demands a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, including healthcare client services, managed care, and labor management. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are crucial to effectively engaging with all organizational levels and diverse stakeholders.
  • Have a proven record of instigating change within an organization and aligning cross-functional teams to meet organizational goals. Successful team-building skills and the ability to nurture high-performing teams are a must.
  • Above all, the candidate should uphold the highest ethical standards, demonstrating uncompromising integrity.

Benefits:
