Job description

About Us

We are a fast-growing 3PL (third-party logistics) company building scalable, process-driven warehouse operations across multiple locations. As we expand, we are strengthening leadership structure by clearly separating daily operational execution from strategic site oversight.

The Site Manager works ON the business — driving strategy, customer alignment, financial performance, and long-term operational scalability.

Position Summary

The General Manager of the fulfillment facility is responsible for the overall performance, stability, and growth of the warehouse operation. This role focuses on customer alignment, planning, leadership development, and continuous improvement — while ensuring operational excellence through the Operations Manager and supporting leaders.

This is a strategic leadership position with strong client-facing responsibilities and financial accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight

  • Lead and direct the Operations Manager (who works IN the business)

  • Experience managing P&L performance

  • Ensure SLA compliance and quality assurance standards

  • Monitor site KPIs and performance trends

  • Drive accountability and performance management

Financial & Vendor Management

  • Manage labor alignment with revenue goals

  • Oversee supplies and vendor relationships

  • Maintain budget discipline and cost control

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Understand short-term and long-term customer needs

  • Prioritize and translate business goals into operational objectives

  • Set daily and weekly targets for Operations leadership

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site

  • Ensure operational scalability for new and existing customers

Client & Communication Management

  • Serve as primary site-level client contact

  • Join weekly customer calls as operational leadership presence

  • Communicate issues proactively and escalate when necessary

  • Provide ad hoc progress reports and updates

  • Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) as operational lead

Facilities & Infrastructure

  • Oversee physical facilities and layout optimization

  • Manage warehouse flow, space planning, and expansion strategy

  • Ensure equipment and machinery maintenance

  • Maintain safety and security standards across the site

Staffing & Organizational Leadership

  • Oversee Staffing Coordinator function

  • Lead hiring decisions for management-level roles

  • Build leadership bench strength

  • Develop future operational leaders

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of 3PL, leadership experience

  • Proven multi-functional leadership responsibility

  • Strong client-facing communication skills

  • Experience managing P&L performance

  • Experience leading managers (not just teams)

  • Strong operational planning and prioritization skills

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Compensation & Growth

  • Base Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 annually

  • Bonus eligibility based on site performance

  • Executive growth track within expanding 3PL network

  • Reports to: COO
