Prudent Technology is looking for an experienced User Interface/ User Experience (UI/UX) software front end developer for product team with modernization of enterprise content management (CMS) solution for Learning Management System (LMS). The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of agile software development practices and experience delivering deployable software in short sprints with aggressive timeline. The candidate will work as an integral part of an Agile Scrum team-a highly productive team of technical professionals who thrive on supporting the customer's mission and growth objectives. The individual will work in close collaboration with software developers/engineers, stakeholders, and end users within Agile processes. The responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate effectively in a complex, multi-vendor environment with contractor and government personnel in small, Agile teams.
  • Assist government to rethink and modernize business processes and practices.
  • Collaborate with product management, software engineers, and other stakeholders to generate wireframes and mocks for design approvals.
  • Design and lead iterative learning and development cycles, and ultimately produce new and creative UI/UX solutions that will become part of Drupal CMS solution.
  • Build and maintain a UX design element repository for mock development.
  • Design original graphics and graphical elements
  • Write and maintain UI code for web and/or mobile graphical interfaces
  • Write user surveys to help drive UX requirements
  • Support consistent UX experiences across multiple UI domains including user-facing documentation
  • Facilitate Business Process Modernization UX Design Sessions.
  • Engage various stakeholders to identify and document potential impacts and dependencies.
  • Develop UI prototypes to inform target state and minimum viable product elaboration and configuration.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Should be familiar with web accessibility best practices. HTML & CSS knowledge will definitely help.
  • Experience with design systems.
  • Experience applying user-centered design (UCD) and interaction design methodologies.
  • Experience using user research, evidence and best practice to develop an understanding of user needs.
  • Worked in Agile (scrum) development environment. Understand and appreciate the Lean UX concept.
  • Expert experience with mainstream design tools such as Adobe suite, Sketch, Figma and Invision.
  • Understands enterprise software design principles, best practices, and dependencies.
  • Aptitude to pick up new concepts and technology rapidly; ability to explain it to both business & IT stakeholders.
  • Ability to match technology solutions to customer needs.
  • Extensive experience with Agile software development process/concepts
  • Ability to produce efficient process workflows from business requirements.
  • Knowledge of and experience with using scaled Agile to accommodate large implementations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and technical skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the federal contracting market would be helpful but is not required.

Clearance:

  • US Citizen or permanent residency, with ability to obtain a clearance of Public Trust and maintain a minimum favorable active security clearance investigation level of Tier 4 (T4) per OPM Position Designation System.
