Summary:

The Vice President, Finance is pivotal in overseeing the company's financial health and strategic financial planning. This position requires a seasoned finance professional with a proven track record of driving financial excellence and supporting the organization's growth objectives.

Under the supervision of the RDG’s CFO, the incumbent, either personally or through subordinates, directs the financial affairs of RDG, oversees the accounting and treasury department, prepares financial analyses of operations and proformas of new projects, reviews systems for efficiency improvement, is involved in the strategic planning process and other projects as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serving as a financial advisor to the CFO and executive team for strategic planning purposes.
  • Overseeing all sides of accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll and tax preparation
  • Prepare timely and accurate analyses, summaries, and reports of financial data on the operating progress of the company.
  • Create a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting structure that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operational needs.
  • Routinely review revenue cycle metrics to identify and address issues affecting overall performance proactively.
  • Manage the company’s compliance with local and federal regulatory matters.
  • Partner with senior leaders to ensure the company hits revenue targets.
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly reports.
  • Manage insurance coverage for the organization, including compliance.
  • Process the financial activities of an organization to maximize a company’s profits and plan for its growth.
  • Regular financial reporting (e.g. preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements), forecasts, planning, budgeting, financial analysis, cash management, and procurement.
  • Timely and accurately provide reporting of financial information to internal parties, government regulators and outside agencies.
  • Manage and supervise all AR/AP cycles with external partners and customers - including the implementation of accounting and billing systems and controls.
  • Prepare financial reports for the CFO.
  • Process Sales Tax & all other state taxes in a timely manner.
  • Prepares and reviews proformas and budgets of new and existing operations.
  • Analyzes and develops policies, procedures, and systems to ensure effective internal controls, optimum efficiencies, and improvement of processes.
  • Works with external auditors and other third parties on financial matters as necessary.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Lead the FP&A team in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support organizational decision-making. Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to the executive team.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks while complying with relevant laws and regulations. Implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard the company's assets.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Tax Strategy: Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Treasury Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships. Monitor and optimize working capital to support operational needs.
  • Financial Systems and Technology: Evaluate and enhance financial systems and technologies to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Plans and manages the annual budgeting process for all departments.
  • Demonstrates fiduciary responsibility to senior management and the organization.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a VP of Finance or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit and tax compliance and other regulatory matters
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Food and Beverage/Hospitality experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role with at least (15) years of progressive financial leadership.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing financial teams and driving results.
