Wayside Family Treatment Center maintains the family unit by welcoming women who are pregnant and mothers with children into treatment to prevent separation. We receive services for addiction, parenting, understanding how their alcohol or substance use contributes to Adverse Childhood Experiences, and improving their relationship skills to ultimately break the generational transmission of risk.
What you will do:
- Be available to clients seeking guidance or support, as well as responding appropriately to identify needs. Setting limits with clients and educating them.
- Supervise client activities.
- Respond to emergencies and effectively manage crisis.
- Record pertinent client data.
- Ensure that all essential tasks are being completed accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor health needs of clients and make referrals to appropriate medical/dental resources. Supervise clients in self-administration of prescribed medication.
- Assist with tasks associated with clients arriving and leaving Wayside Recovery Center. Assist in various programs, as needed. Collect urine specimens for drug screens. Complete admit and discharge procedures with clients.
- Role model behavior that is consistent with and supportive to people in recovery from substance use disorder. Such behavior will include upholding ethical standards of the program and reliable attendance.
- Perform duties that are outlined by the Recovery Services Manager and other leadership staff.
- Help identify areas for additional training or training clarifications. Assist with training, orientation, and coaching as needed.
- Assist with scheduling in the RA department.
- Assist in providing on-call coverage and maintain on-call schedules.
- Assist with maintaining office/staff/client supplies, including copies of frequently used forms.
- Ability to multi-task RA and RA Lead tasks.
- Utilize exemplary communication skills in line with this leadership position and set a positive example for other RA staff.

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 7:00a-3:00p (40 hours per week)

- High school diploma/GED required
- 18 years or older
- Adult and child CPR - training provided if needed
- Microsoft office/outlook experience
- knowledge and/or experience in the field of substance use disorder and/or mental heath
- Must be able to maintain client confidentiality in accordance with state and federal guidelines and HIPAA requirements.
- Must be able to pass a Minnesota DHS background study
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check - no DUIs in last 3 years
- Must value diversity and able to relate and enjoy working with women and children of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
- Some college/associates degree
