Salary: $70,000-$90,000 DOE plus bonus

Job Summary 

We are seeking a Product Specialist, for a mid-level role in product management, requiring relevant technical expertise and education. This position is integral to the Product Development Team, supporting various products across a broad portfolio. Responsibilities include standardizing processes, collaborating with Product Managers on business functions, and creating reporting tools. Effective communication with all company departments and market segments is essential. 

 

Essential Functions

  • Support the entire product life cycle, from concept to release and beyond, with a focus on life science tool products supporting therapeutic development in oncology, cell and gene therapy, autoimmune disease, infectious disease, neural medicine, etc. 
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize existing products and develop new ones to meet customer demands. 
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify market trends, product gaps, and opportunities for differentiation. 
  • Prepare comprehensive supportive documents, including product applications, features, and target customer profiles etc. 
  • Contribute actively to key departmental projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, product quality, and market competitiveness. 
  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to provide valuable insights for product development strategy. 
  • Engage with the sales team to address customer inquiries, provide technical support, and assist with product positioning. 
  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, facilitating co-marketing initiatives and partnership opportunities. 

 

Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Immunology, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.  
  • Master's degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Immunology, or a related field, with at least 1 year of relevant work experience. 
  • Previous wet lab experience is essential, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in protein labeling, antibody development, cell and gene therapy, or immunoassay detection kits development. 

 

Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience 

  • Familiarity with GMP, CMC, and regulatory filing processes is advantageous. 
  • Industry experience is preferred. 

 

Knowledge, skills, and Abilities 

  • Proficiency in wet lab techniques and experimental methodologies. 
  • Strong understanding of biochemistry, biology, and immunology principles. 
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams. 
  • Detail-oriented approach to tasks and strong problem-solving abilities. 
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments and changing priorities. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. 

 

Location: Bay Area, CA or San Diego, CA - hybrid (based on business needs) 

 

Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000 DOE + bonus.
