CMM Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct dimensional layouts using various tools such as Calipers, Height Gages, and Romer Arm to support PPAP and other approvals.
• Perform timely calibrations and maintain related databases.
• Create and manage First Article parts and Visual Acceptance Standards (VAS) boards.
• Develop and maintain process books with support from Engineering for Packaging, Assembly, and Process instructions.
• Conduct internal audits including System, Process, and Product audits; communicate results to Supervisors and Director of Quality.
• Assist in receiving inspection and support Supplier visits/audits as needed.
• Provide training and guidance to the Production Team as required.
• Support Engineering Team in Tool Trials as necessary.
• Participate in Supplier and Customer problem-solving activities as needed.
• Lead and participate in Quality Containment actions as required.
• Support Plant-wide Clean, Organized, Safe (5S) initiatives.
• Represent the Quality Function in a professional manner to both new and current production Team members.
• Foster strong, professional relationships with Production Supervisors, Operations/Plant Manager, Process Engineers, Application Engineers, Tool-room Team, and Administrative Team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience as a Quality Professional.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience using PC-DMIS, with strong programming skills using the software.
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing a Romer Arm with PC-DMIS.
• Familiarity with inspection techniques and experience using Calipers, Micrometers, Height gages, and Check-fixtures.
• Proven expertise in MS Excel.
• Strong team orientation and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
