Certified Medical Assistant CMA

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant CMA to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures

• Facility transfer of information between medical practices

• Calling in referrals and faxing information to specialist providers

Will also include:

Uploading documents to 2 different electronic medical records

Auditing charts for deficiencies in documentation

Review medical supplies and medications for deficits and order and restock.

Check and replace first aid kits.

Monitor and track nursing and medical requirements for patients and make appointments as necessary.

Process and Upload lab results

Communicate information for labs, tests, and new medications prescriptions to facilities and families as needed.

Review Medication administration record for new patient and enter into EMAR

Speak with insurance companies to change pcp provider

Log in and provide information for Prior Authorizations

Any other duties as assigned by Primary Care Provider

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
• Familiarity with medical billing procedures
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to use, create and edit spreadsheets
