Senior Accountant (on-site)

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will exhibit a strong sense of urgency and task ownership while maintaining a high level of accuracy in assigned responsibilities which include but are not limited to:

• Accounts payable and receivable
• Customer order processing and invoicing
• Cash management including bank reconciliation and review
• Monthly close, journal entries, account reconciliations and GL analyses.
• Internal control development and compliance.
• Assists with budgeting with budget-to-actual analysis highlighting discrepancies.
• Rolling forecasting highlighting financial trends.
• Dual reporting to both Controller and Assistant Accounting Manager.
• Ensures that all relevant balance sheet and income statement accounts are reviewed and reconciled monthly and that all open items are explained, and an accountability process is in place for adequate follow-up on items requiring further action.
• Prepare all audit and tax return preparation work papers and assist auditors/consultants as needed.
• Develops cross-functional partnerships with all departments.
• Other office support functions as required.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, master’s degree and/or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of general accounting experience required.
• Experience working in a manufacturing is required (minimum 2 years).
• ERP system experience is required (minimum 2 years).
• Must have strong Excel skills.
• Must have excellent problem-solving ability and top-level attention to detail.
