As a part of the Telecare Family, Santa Clara Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) and Community Conservatorship (CC) program serves 50 adults age 18+ diagnosed with a severe mental illness. AOT/CC serves individuals who are high utilizers of mental health services and are considered to be high risk for psychiatric hospitalization, and/or have been incarcerated. Our goal is to work closely with existing community resources to assist individuals with transitioning back into their community. We know that the journey to recovery can be a tough one, and we believe that no one should have to go through it alone.

About the job

The Clinician Unlicensed provides mental health support services to members served and their families at the program. The Clinician also assists in the coordination of all mental health support services provided by the Team. This includes coordinating and collaborating with team members and outside agencies such as, the Conservator’s Office, Public Guardian’s Office, Probation Department, County Behavioral Health Services, and housing and inpatient providers.

Shifts Available: 

Full Time; AM 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; Monday – Friday

Salary (Sign On Bonus:  $10,000):

The expected starting wage range is $82,887.48 - $102,369.54. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges.  The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed.  Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Requirements)  

·       Registered as a LMFT, LCSW or LPCC or AMFT, ASCW, APCC with Board of Behavioral Science; must be valid and in good standing with the board.

·       Telecare can offer Clinical Supervision and support for unlicensed clinicians.

·       A Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Counseling or related field that is eligible for licensure in the state or California.

·       One (1) year of forensic direct service experience working with individuals who have mental health issues, have come into contact with the legal system, or have experience diagnosing and treating mental disorders is essential.

·       Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.

·       Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.

The Crisis Residential Treatment programs will provide short-term, 24/7 crisis residential services for adults ages 18+ via 16 beds at the Rancho Los Amigos Center, Olive View Center, and LAC + USC Center. Services will help clients in acute psychiatric distress avoid inpatient hospitalization, emergency services, and incarceration; regain their stability in a safe, homelike environment; begin working toward longer-term recovery goals; and establish linkages with stable housing and ongoing treatment.
